Duoc UC is a private, professional, nonprofit institute founded in 1968. It is one of the biggest institutions of higher education in Chile with more than 97, 000 students, 9 schools, and 82 programs. Duoc UC’s educational program seeks excellence in quality with assistance from tutors, volunteer opportunities, activities, and field trips.
Chile offers an excellent opportunity to study while experiencing unforgettable cultural moments. Chile is also nature on a colossal scale where travel is easy and safe. According to the Global Peace Index for 2015 by the Institute for Economic and Peace, Chile is within the group of the most peaceful and stable nations of the world.
Academic Notes
Duoc UC does have a language requirement, it is required that students who do NOT speak Spanish attend a two weeks intensive language course before the beginning of the semester.

Housing and Meals
Duoc UC does not directly offer accommodation, but they have a list of suggested places and help students find a house in Chile. There are three options: with a family, living in a student house (usually around 15-20 students), or sharing an apartment with other Chileans or international students. Average accommodations are around 700 USD a month. 
Insurance Requirement
All Fresno State students studying abroad are required to have the CSU required international travel and health insurance.
Once the student is accepted they must go to the nearest Chilean consulate to apply for a student visa.
