The Study Abroad and International Exchanges program is dedicated to inspiring and preparing students, faculty and staff to engage in an education abroad experience. This experience is an integral part of Fresno State’s mission to boldly educate and empower for success by valuing discovery, diversity and distinction. Study abroad is a transformative experience that is considered high impact learning, which is conducive to success in an increasingly diversified and global economy. Fresno State maintains student exchange partnerships with more than 60 universities in other countries, participates with universities across the U.S. in several study abroad consortia, and assists faculty organizing short-term group tours of selected countries to develop international cultural acumen. Every year more than 500 Fresno State students make the commitment to become global citizens by participating in study abroad programs.
